Description

Beautiful grey fox floppy soft mount with vibrant natural grey/orange fur, black legs, a white chin, and a full bushy tail and striking natural orange/brown eyes that give it a unique and eye-catching look.

This is a soft mount with a full body armature, meaning the body is flexible and stuffed, but sturdy with internal metal wiring so it can be posed naturally on furniture, shelves, or displays.

Pelt is real grey fox that was legally, sustainably, and ethically purchased and mounted by me using steel wiring, quilt batting, polyfil, thread, clay, hide paste, foam head form, plastic ear liners, hot glue and pastels for touch-ups.

Care: Fur may arrive flattened from shipping, gentle brushing with a pin bristle brush will fluff back up.

Pelts are real fur and leather and not meant as a toy, do treat with care. May have some shedding as most fur products. Natural blemishes are possible such as small matting or repairs (mentioned in description below).

*This was the second soft mount I made and the first I’ve done with a full armature and completely posable! There are mistakes, though none are what I would consider anything more than minor errors. Still, I will be open about my errors with this mount as always:

– The head form was not attached to the metal armature with the right material, so it will “crackle” when turning the head angle. I recommend caution doing this and not doing it too often, if possible. My only concern here is the foam head form becoming too lose and unposable with frequent adjusting.
– The clay in the paws was not as hydrated as I would have liked and dried while being able to rotate on the armature, so the wrists/ankles of the legs can twist in “unnatural” directions, but hold steady when posed naturally flat.
– And I misjudged the length of the tail wiring, so it is a little too short, leaving the tip of the tail to be floppy when posed.
