Description
Picked up this sweet old cabinet card of a baby a while back and decided to turn it into something special. She’s from a Chicago studio (Wolf & Hueben) and still in great shape. I built the shadow box around her using three nice preserved butterflies, some hand-torn copper leaf for texture, and a few small bone pieces and an old key to give it that strange, collected feel.
It’s all in a deep black frame so the colors really stand out. The whole thing has this quiet, old-fashioned mood — part Victorian, part curiosity cabinet. Looks great on a shelf or wall and always gets people asking about it.
