This is a sewing pattern for a classic fur trapper hat, with templates for Large, Medium, and Small sizes. The design features the traditional tall crown and ear flaps.

Perfect for working with faux fur, real fur, or even lined with wool or flannel for colder weather. The pattern is straightforward and includes all the pieces you need to make a warm, durable winter hat. Great project for anyone who wants a custom trapper hat that actually fits.

To build the hat, start by sewing one ear piece to the head piece and work your way around in a circle. Depending on the type of real fur you use, you may occasionally need to trim one side of the back piece at a slight angle to fit the head (this is rare but can happen). I recommend sewing the fluffy cushion liner to your main liner fabric before attaching it to the outer fur layer.

For each layer (outer fur, fluffy cushion, and inner liner) you will need: 2 ear pieces, 1 head piece, 1 back piece, and 1 front piece.
